New Additions: Motor Vehicle & New Tuff Shed
Since the garden’s beginning in 1973, volunteers walked up and down the hills, often pulling or pushing a cart in which to put the tons of debris accumulated from their work. Things are different now.
Thanks to the Conejo Recreation & Parks District’s Capital Improvements Grant, our gentlemen volunteers now have a gas-powered Club Car that carries them up and down the hills as they go about their various tasks. The box on the back serves as a small dump truck that is useful for spreading mulch and other purposes. The grant also provided the garden with a Tuff Shed for storage.
The grant of $6,792, along with the garden’s matching funds, made it possible to acquire these helpful additions to the garden. The volunteers are grateful to the CRPD for this grant. Thank you, CRPD!
